Frequently Asked Questions

What is the form of Ownership?
You are buying a Freehold Property, there are common areas (e.g. driveway, pathways, landscaped areas) that are owned in common, secured by a 1/5th common share on your title.

Is there a Body Corporate or Residents Society?
No. Because the Townhouse has a Freehold title, there is no Body Corporate or Residents Society and so no Body Corporate levies.

How do I purchase?
Once you’ve selected your townhouse, a Sale and Purchase Agreement needs to be signed. We will provide this to you on request. If the Agreement is accepted by the Vendor, you will then have five working days to review the terms of the contract with your lawyer. Once your lawyer confirms the purchaser conditions are satisfied, a deposit is payable, equivalent to 10% of the Purchase Price. You will also need to advise your preferred selection for available options (eg. interior fit-out colour palette, appliances). A more detailed overview of the Sales Process is available to provide further guidance on request.

What are the timeframes?
Resource and building consents are expected to be issued early 2022. Subject to this construction is expected to commence immediately and is expected to be completed in late 2022 if there are no unforeseen delays. .

Is my Deposit Safe?
Yes. Your Deposit is held securely in the Trust Account of the Vendor’s solicitor as stakeholder. This means the deposit cannot be passed to the Vendor until Settlement occurs.

What Warranties are available?
Each Townhouse comes with a 10-year warranty for structural integrity and weather tightness. Materials such as cladding, roofing, windows, and doors are covered by industry-standard warranties. Appliances are covered by a supplier warranty from their time of delivery.

Warranties are assigned from the Vendor to the Purchaser on Settlement. The Vendor also warrants to fix any defects that may arise within the first 90 days after Settlement.
